Dr. Isaac Wentz is a board-certified psychiatrist with fellowship training in forensic psychiatry from the University of California, Davis. His career has encompassed psychiatric hospital care, correctional psychiatry, outpatient services, and academic mentorship. He has practiced in diverse settings, from maximum-security forensic hospitals to community-based hospitals and telepsychiatry.
Dr. Wentz has served on committees including Suicide Risk Assessment and Physician Wellness, and has been recognized with multiple awards such as the John Chappel, M.D. Award for compassion in medicine and the Teaching Excellence Award for his role as a clinical psychiatrist. He is an active member of the American Academy of Psychiatry and the Law and the American Psychiatric Association.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Wentz enjoys teaching, research, and spending time in Hawaii, where he currently practices.
